Dreaming of owning one of the cars he guards
| Margo Fortune
Brief

Grejimo Gates is 22 year old. For him, being a car guard at Town Centre in Mitchell’s Plain is his business.
Gates dropped out of school in grade 8 to be part of the JCY gang. He has two children; one is six years old and the other is 3 months. He earns about R120 a day to provide for himself and his children. He works from 7am to 5pm. Gates dreams of being a painter. He wants to paint a bright future. Gates says he likes cars and sometimes when a nice car parks he imagines himself owning it.
